Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Alaw Therapies website and booking services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

Description of Services

Alaw Therapies provides:

• Bowen Therapy treatments
• Holistic massage services
• Myofascial release therapy
• Online appointment booking system
• Secure payment processing
• Automated appointment reminders

Booking and Appointments

Booking Process

• All bookings must be made through our online booking system
• You must provide accurate personal and medical history information
• Bookings are confirmed upon successful payment of the deposit
• You will receive email and SMS confirmations

Booking Window

• Appointments can be booked up to 2 months in advance
• Minimum 1 day advance notice required
• Same-day bookings are not available online (please call)

Operating Hours

Current operating hours (subject to change with reasonable notice):

Regular Hours (Always Available):

• Tuesday: 09:30 - 15:00
• Wednesday: 13:45 - 18:00
• Thursday: 09:30 - 18:00
• Saturday: 09:00 - 12:30
• All other days: Closed

Extended Hours (By Arrangement Only):

The following times are available only when specifically marked as open by the practitioner. Check the booking calendar for current availability.

• Monday: 09:30 - 17:00 (not always available)

Payment Terms

Deposits

Current deposit requirements (subject to change):

• A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking
• Full payment option is available if preferred
• Deposits are non-refundable except as outlined in the cancellation policy
• Remaining balance must be paid at the time of appointment

Payment Methods

• Online: Credit/debit card via Stripe (secure payment processing)
• In-person: Cash, bank transfer, or Starling payment link
• All payments processed in GBP (£)

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation by Client

Current cancellation policy (subject to change with reasonable notice):

• More than 24 hours notice: Full refund of deposit
• Less than 24 hours notice: 50% cancellation fee charged
• No-show: 100% of appointment cost charged

Cancellations must be made through your client account or by contacting us directly. Email cancellations must be acknowledged to be valid.

Cancellation by Practitioner

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your appointment (due to illness or emergency), you will receive a full refund and priority rebooking. We will provide as much notice as possible.

Medical Information and Contraindications

Client Responsibilities

You must:

• Provide accurate and complete medical history information
• Disclose any medical conditions, medications, or recent injuries
• Update your medical information before each appointment if anything has changed
• Inform the practitioner immediately if you experience any discomfort during treatment

Contraindications

Certain medical conditions may prevent treatment or require medical clearance. The practitioner reserves the right to decline treatment if it is deemed unsuitable or unsafe. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.

Client Conduct

Clients are expected to:

• Arrive on time for appointments
• Behave respectfully towards the practitioner
• Maintain appropriate personal hygiene
• Not attend if feeling unwell or displaying symptoms of contagious illness

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate treatment for inappropriate behavior. No refund will be provided in such cases.

Limitation of Liability

Alaw Therapies provides complementary therapy services. Our treatments are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You should consult with a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical condition.

While we take every precaution to ensure safe and effective treatments, we cannot guarantee specific results. By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that:

• Results may vary between individuals
• Treatment may cause temporary discomfort or soreness
• You have disclosed all relevant medical information
• You accept any risks associated with treatment

Data Protection and Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data in accordance with UK GDPR. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Alaw Therapies and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.

Your continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel any upcoming appointments for a full refund (subject to the cancellation policy in effect at the time of your original booking).

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
